The marathon course takes you through the very heart of Moscow: along the picturesque embankments of the Moskva River, the Garden and Boulevard Rings, across Krymsky Bridge, down Tverskaya Street and Teatralny Proyezd, and past the iconic walls of the Kremlin.
Runners will see world-famous landmarks along the course, including Stalinist skyscrapers (Seven Sisters), the Bolshoi Theatre, the FSB headquarters (Lubyanka Building), the Polytechnic Museum, the Kremlin, and the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour.
The Moscow Marathon is also a member of the BRICS Marathon League, a project uniting the largest marathons in Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan), and marathons in Brazil, India, China, South Africa, and other BRICS countries in the near future.
